ARCHIVING EMAIL & MORE

All archiving systems save and store email. However, you do not just have email. And if you're using Microsoft Lync® (Office Communication Server), you may have other communications you want to archive.

Retain from GWAVA can be set to archive all or part of your Lync messages. Securely archive your instant messages. There are no additional modules to purchase; all of this functionality is included with Retain.

RETAIN MEANS COMPLIANCE

Since Exchange 2010 allows users to delete their own archived files, you can't rely on your Exchange archives to meet records retention and compliance laws. With Retain, no one can alter or delete a message. Retain meets all compliance regulations.

E-DISCOVERY & PORTABILITY

Archived data is worthless if you can't get to it or export it. Retain takes the pain out of e-discovery. With Retain, you can quickly locate your data and export it one of two ways. For quickest access, export the archived messages to a single PDF file up to 2GB in size. For larger data exports, Retain delivers your data to a CD or DVD format, complete with a data viewer that allows anyone to easily search and discover your data. With this solution, you will keep disruption in your organization to a minimum while still delivering a large amount of data to a portable storage device.

Export a single mailbox, multiple mailboxes, or the entire post office. Retain lets you move your archived information quickly and efficiently, making it easily accessible.

Browser Based Interface - with the easy-to-use browser-based Retain interface and powerful search tools, you can quickly locate the data you need to preview and/or export. You can even share your searches.

E-discovery and multiple publishing options - are included with the Retain archiving system. Export the data quickly into either PST or PDF formats. The exported file is fully indexed, searchable and includes a table of contents for quick browsing. All attachments are embedded for easy saving and opening.

Scalable Exports - for more scalable exports such as entire mailboxes or multiple mailboxes, you can use the all-inclusive Retain publishing client. The Retain publishing tool lets you output archived messages into a stand-alone encrypted database with its own built-in viewer.

Litigation Hold - to protect any email that may potentially be involved in future litigation, Retain lets you flag an archived item to protect it from any deletion or actions until the hold is removed. You can put a litigation hold on an individual item or on all mail for a user. Data archived with Retain can never be modified.

SINGLE-INSTANCE STORAGE

With Retain, you never keep multiple copies of the same message or attachment. While Exchange 2007 supports single-instance storage, Exchange 2010 does not.

Without Retain, your archive storage costs could skyrocket.

ON PREMISE & CLOUD STORAGE

Retain lets you choose where you want to store your archived data.

You can store it on premise - in your own storage devices. You can also store all or part of your archives in the cloud-off-site archive storage without all the hassle. Retain currently supports Amazon S3 cloud storage.

FAST & EASY RETRIEVAL

Retain strikes the perfect balance between cost effective storage and lightning fast retrieval of messaging data. Retain offers two different options for indexing your email database. Its built-in Lucene® indexing engine works extremely well for all but the largest environments, and is included with Retain. Retain also supports the Exalead® indexing engine, which is extremely robust, to handle very large systems.
